Character Concepts - William M.

Fleshing out William's character was simple enough, but deciding on an appropriate look for him was challenging. I had originally planned for him to be a Blonde haired, "Tom Sawyer-ish" sort of character, but I soon scrapped that idea. I didn't completely dismiss the thought though, so I gave his character a sort of southern drawl. Seems miffy on paper, but surprisingly, I made it work; plus, it makes his character stand out more, which is always a good thing.

Pretty pleased with the design of his costume, spent a few minutes sifting through one of the "Gun Blaze West" books I had laying around to get an idea for a suitable "Gunslinger" costume. Oddly enough, the GBW novels take place a few years before my own story. Couldn't decide for the life of me on what color to make his jacket, so I settled on brown. Seems to be a motif with his character.

Rambling aside, most of the notes are just things I wrote down before coloring. Don't need most of them there now, but it's always nice to have references, I suppose.

Will pen up the background story on the characters once I've finished their preliminary designs. Have something interesting in the works, so keep an eye out for it.

On a side note, after I finished the final touches on William, I noticed a similarity to Indiana Jones. Wasn't really going for that; probably just the brown vest though. Still, I got a good laugh out of it.
